I think we got roughly 18 inches of snow on Wednesday. The big boys couldn't make it home after their movie, so they had an unexpected sleepover. When Traeger and Ataly woke up in the morning, they were thrilled to see the winter wonderland and shocked when the big boys came down for the day. .
We chilled in the morning until the plows came through in the afternoon.
Perfect form Ataly!
The kids couldn't wait to get out and play in the mountains of snow.
And the big boys couldn't wait to throw a big snowball at Luke. Their plans foiled when the snowball was too heavy to carry.
It was sweet to have lots of willing hands to help clear the snow!
Snowball baseball was a big hit...
Next up was throwing the little people into the snowbank. Traeger was up first...
He survived the toss. And it wasn't soft fluffy snow either.
Lined up and ready to run and/or flip into the snowbank.
Ready, set, go!
A snowball fight was next on the adventures in the snow.
Luke was camped out in the chair....
while the other folks were lined up on top of, behind and in the snow fort, as well as on top of the house.
The big boys also had to try out the Hatfield Roof sledding hill...
off the middle slant, down to the bottom roof and into the snow bank.
Thankfully no one broke their necks and hopefully I don't catch Traeger and Ataly trying that stunt out anytime soon.
We finished our time with perfecting our first ever snow fort.
Mission complete.
A snow day filled with an abundance of laughter and new memories.
