Sold!

we bought our first house on 219 Lincoln St. in Medford, WI

we fingerspelled SOLD because we had to leave town before the Sold sign got put up.  

Who knew that 4 years after buying our first house God would be asking us to follow His leading to be missionaries to Ripon College.  We were well aware of the obstacles that were ahead of us.  One of them being selling our house.  We got strange looks from others and even had days of "what in the world are we thinking" kind of thoughts too when we shared our goal of raising support and selling the house in 3 months.  We knew we could trust God with our future even when we couldn't see how it was all going to pan out, but the reality of walking by faith and not by sight wasn't always easy.  But in God's merciful ways, He gave us courage to follow Him in the unknowns and by His mighty power at work He sold our house (from our first meeting with the realtor to signing the final papers) in 16 weeks and 1 day and raised our needed support 14 weeks.  God is able!

I pray that this milestone will be a constant reminder to us, and others, of His mighty power at work in our lives.  I'm thankful this isn't the first and won't be the last time we will see God pass through.  

God is faithful. 

 God answers our prayers (in His timing). 

God supplies our needs.

"God did this so all the nations of the earth might know the power of the Lord, and that you might fear the Lord your God forever."
