Since all of our Christmas decorations are nicely packed away in Luke's parent's basement we had to come up with a Plan B for a tree and decorations this year (and going out and buying all new stuff wasn't an option). After much thought and discussion about the matter we landed on getting a real tree since it was free from my family's land. (Some of these trees are ones my dad planted when I was a kid...kinda cool)
Heading into the woods looking for the "perfect" tree.
"Hey mom...what do you think about this one?"
Working together to cut down our first ever real tree.
Memories in the making.
And there's never a dull moment when you get those three crazy "kiddos" together :O)
A sign of the times. I had to document the fact that Luke wore his shorts to cut down the tree. It was a dry and perfect day in our books. Who needs blowing wind, freezing temps and snow to make it memorable...not me!
Ataly found a secret hide out underneath some of the trees.
Breaking out the Gangnam style dance move.
Grandpa Bruce showing us all how a muzzle loader works.
Mr. Muscle man dragging out our tree.
Thankful we live closer to family and can do things like this together. It makes my heart happy and from the looks of it these four would agree with me too!
