Chicago Mission Trip 2012

Here's the crew God brought together for the mission trip to Chicago.

Chicago or bust!

On a mission....to share the incredible, transforming, motivating, and overflowing love of Jesus.

Home base for the week.

Honesty is still in style...a good reminder.

Never a shortage of fun.

Winding down at Six Flags (on the way home) from a week of serving and lovin' the Chicago folks.

Luke worked for a summer (while we were engaged) in Chicago with the YouthWorks organization.  He went on his first mission trip as a youth pastor to Chicago and ended his 6 year youth ministry career with a trip to Chicago.

It is always so encouraging to hear the good work God does in and through these student's and leader's lives   when they step out in faith and spend a week, out of their comfort zone, serving and loving others.

Just one evidence of God's grace on the trip this year was when a student chose to accept and trust Jesus.  It was legit.  The parent's were so encouraged when the student got home, they could immediately see a change and pray, by God's grace, the transformation process continues.

Philippians 1:9-10
"I pray that your love for each other will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in your knowledge and understanding.  For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives."
