Quality Nana time!

I've learned over the last six years of Luke going on mission trips it works well if the kids go to Grandpa Tim and Nana's house toward the end of the week and into the first few days Luke gets back. It affords me a much appreciated and needed breathier after running solo for over a week (I gain a whole new appreciation and sympathy for single mothers).  It allows Luke time to get home and settle back into a new normal and provides us the blessing to all come back together refreshed.

This year Grandpa Tim was gone on a motorcycle trip to CO, but Nana was willing to brave the troops alone.  So I drove the kids down to Cedar Grove to get started on their quality Nana time :O)

Nana made a special trip to the Library to score some great books before the kids arrived.
Mary Louise's manners book was a big hit and has been recited many times.

Before getting the activities of the next day started reading together was a must.

A trip to the Milwaukee Zoo with the Port Hatfields was on the agenda.

Monkey see, monkey do.

Life is good!

Yeah God for cousins....

and silly ones too!

I love how Ataly lives life "all in"/"to the fullest"!

Nana took the kids on their first ever trip to the strawberry patch.

Swimming at Random Lake.

Traeger and Ataly having fun in the sun with their second cousins.

Mini golf was another special outing on the agenda.

Oops...I'll call that a practice swing.

Autumn joined in on the fun too.

All smiles...

on their way to the ice cream shop.

Looks pretty tasty.

Exploring the beach.

Creating his own hop scotch court

Nice work Traegs.

Thank you Nana for building LOTS of special memories with us!
You were a HUGE evidence of God's grace to all of us!

Philippians 1:3
"Every time we think of you Nana, we give thanks to our God!"
