Today, my parents along with 3 other men from their church, are boarding a plane and heading to Romania to serve there until March 6. They will be assisting two missionary families (one happens to be a missionary family our church supports...it's a small world). They anticipate teaching various agriculture practices to native farmers, and trusting it will result in a great relational ministry. They will also have the opportunities to share God's love with young adults who have recently been released from orphanages in their area. Romania's planting season will be close at hand during their stay. So they are excited to offer them seeds of all kinds (from good ol' USA), and most importantly looking to hopefully plant "seeds" of God's forgiveness and abundant love for them, that will last forever. The best gift of all!
So if you feel led, please join me in praying for my parent's team over the next 13 days. They would covet your prayers and trust the Spirit to move and our mighty God to protect them as they go and share God's abundant and life giving truths with the Romanian people.
Above is a picture of my dad (on the right) and one of the other men that is going on this trip (on the left) with a real life Romanian shepard. Chris and Dad had an opportunity to do much of the same work of talking with farmers and sharing God's love with the Romanian people back in 2000 and 2002.
